Specialty Benefits is an exciting & growing area within Employer & Individual at UnitedHealthcare. Specialty Benefits consists of Dental, Vision, Stop Loss and several other products. This role will support a recently transitioned block of Stop Loss business and will combine month-end close support with analytics to ensure financial accuracy & compliance.

Primary Responsibilities
- Management of various special projects & initiatives for senior management, including building models of financial & operational metric performance
- Ensuring compliance with claims payment rules and monitoring trends
- Collaboration with other cross-functional areas, including Legal, Operations and IT, to proactively monitor business performance
- Reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Supporting audit, compliance and regulatory requirements for acquired business by reviewing analytics from the GL, sub-ledgers or other data repositories
- Helping manage and develop staff members and onboard new talent. Set goals, delegate tasks, track performance and provide feedback
Required Qualification
- 5 years in accounting or finance
- CPA, MBA or Public Accounting experience
- SQL or SAS experience or willingness to learn
- Proven self-motivated, driven
- Proven collaborative & able to work with multiple cross-functional teams at UHC and the acquired company
