An Early Careers business analyst opportunity as a Consumer Centric Intern means you’ll play a key role working on projects that impact the consumer experience and improving the customer journey. The internship program will provide you with some of the best training and tools in the world to support you and help serve our members. In addition to working as an analyst on a consumer project in UnitedHealthcare or Optum, you will participate in activities to help you better understand the consumer experience (auditing member calls, consumer persona activities, etc..).

Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in a 10-week internship program that builds a solid understanding of the healthcare industry and the consumer journey
- Enhance the consumer experience by working as an analyst on consumer-centric projects within the business, including activities such as
- Analysis of consumer processes
- Audits of inbound calls
- Voice of Customer work
- Gathering and documenting findings
- Understand consumer priorities and performance metrics
- Understand operational problems using defined processes, expertise and judgment; implement strategies to improve operational performance
- Participate in the Early Careers Summer Experience to include networking opportunities, basic technical skills training, speaker series, and additional enrichment activities throughout the summer program

Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $16.00 to $17.07. The hourly range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $16.00 to $19.18. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
