Join us and start doing your life''s best work.(sm) The Account Manager is responsible for the overall relationship with existing community healthcare partners in which UnitedHealthcare members reside. This individual will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships while delivering a best-in-class client experience. This individual collaborates with cross functional teams to enhance partner engagement and ultimately drive organizational growth and performance. If you are located in Upstate NY, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Build and strengthen client relationships while serving as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day program delivery Proactively manages external relationships by identifying needs, communicating product/program value proposition, and providing exceptional quality customer service Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact and large accounts Develop and execute strategic account plans that strengthen business relationships, drive partner engagement, and align with organizational goals and objectives Manage internal and external communications, deliverables, and expectations across a cross functional account management team to ensure high quality service delivery Represent Client internally and work collaboratively with other functional teams to complete projects, identify relationship barriers, address ongoing service needs and drive issue resolution Facilitate and lead external Business Review and/or Joint Operating Committee meetings to review business results and develop action plans for identified opportunities to enhance collaboration Support client success through education of partnership value and identify opportunities for enhanced performance Perform other duties as assigned by manager You''ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience 2 years of experience in account management or customer-facing sales and marketing Proficiency in Microsoft office software Ability to travel 75% within local market(s) Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Preferred Qualifications: Experience in business development, client management or provider relations Experience in managed care, long term care, or post-acute space Basic knowledge of Medicare guidelines General understanding of financial reimbursement methodologies, including pay for performance, incentive-based reimbursement models Solid customer service and interpersonal skills Demonstrated track record in achieving results Self-motivation with ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams Proven ability to identify, engage and influence internal stakeholders and customers Excellent verbal and written communication skills Time management and multitasking skills To protect the health and safety of our workforce, patients and communities we serve, UnitedHealth Group and its affiliate companies require all employees to disclose COVID-19 vaccination status prior to beginning employment.
