Primary Responsibilities:
Take ownership of client deliverables across all areas of the business including operations and product management
Lead the RFI, RFP and sales process including onboarding of new clients
Support the growth strategy of the business and help deliver ambitious growth targets.
Understand and keep abreast of the competitive and regulatory landscape
Liaise with our internal stakeholders (senior leadership, legal, privacy teams, sales teams) to obtain appropriate approvals and drive critical decision-making
Execute creative problem solving and critical thinking on the job
Perform health care and / or health policy focused quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to review data and achieve measurable outcomes for clients
Maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, and the ability to always meet deadlines
Take accountability for work within a fast paced, exciting environment and learn from challenges as they arise
Collaborate and communicate effectively with our broader product teams, while supporting ad-hoc analytics where needed

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (STEM field) or equivalent experience
5 years working in a consultancy or an actuarial role
5 years Customer facing experience
2 years of project management or leadership experience
Expertise working with formulas, calculations, charts, graphs in MS Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including written and verbal forms of communication
Proven track record of working closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver excellent client experience
Proven flexibility to handle changing priorities/requirements/deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work proactively and collaboratively on all assignments with various teams both internal and external to Optum
Demonstrated eagerness to learn about and work on a variety of different projects/assignments
Proven problem-solving skills (identification of issue, causes, solution, implementation plan)

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
