Director of Investor Relations

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) is seeking a strategic, analytically driven Director of Investor Relations to serve as a critical link between our executive leadership and the investment community. The Director will be expected to develop a deep command of UWM's business model, competitive positioning, and financial performance, and translate that expertise into proactive, credible engagement with institutional investors and analysts.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable communicating with senior leadership and operating at the strategic level while also owning every detail of investor-facing communications.

What You Will Be Doing

• Continuously monitor UWM's stock performance, trading dynamics, short interest, and relative valuation.
• Bring independent, well-supported perspectives on what is driving or suppressing the stock and advise executive leadership on strategic communications responses.
• Serve as a partner to the leader of IR, CIO, CFO, CBO and other senior leaders in preparing for and executing all investor-facing engagements, including earnings calls, non-deal roadshows, conferences, and one-on-ones.
• Prepare executive leadership with thorough briefing materials, anticipated investor questions, and recommended messaging — not just logistics.
• Schedule meetings for our CBO and Head of Investor Relations with potential/current shareholders and analysts.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors and potential new investors; serve as UWM's primary day-to-day IR contact.
• Proactively reach out to investors following market events, earnings releases, or periods of significant stock movement to ensure the UWM story is accurately understood.
• Lead the coordination of all investor-facing content: earnings press releases, scripts, Q&A preparation, investor presentations, and the annual report.
• Own UWM's investor relations website and ensure it reflects an accurate, compelling, and up-to-date representation of the company.
• Ensure all external financial communications are consistent, compliant with Reg FD, and strategically aligned with UWM's long-term narrative.
• Monitor changes — and quickly communicate material shifts to relevant stakeholders.
  
  

Must Have Qualifications

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Experience in investor relations or meaningful time in a strategic IR role at a publicly traded company.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze stock performance, valuation, and investor sentiment with the confidence to present independent conclusions to C-suite leadership.
• Experience supporting earnings processes and investor events end-to-end.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of building trusted relationships at the executive level internally and with institutional investors and analysts externally.
  
  

Nice To Have Qualifications

• Experience in mortgage, financial services, fintech, or a high-volume, operationally complex public company.
• Familiarity with Q4 Desktop, Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar IR/investor analytics platforms.
