The United Way of Venango and Titusville Region is seeking a motivated, mission-driven professional to serve as the Full-time Community Innovation Manager. This position will manage the day-to-day operations of the Community Innovation Team, a key initiative designed to strengthen local nonprofit organizations by providing grant-writing assistance, capacity-building support, and collaborative funding strategies throughout Venango and Clarion Counties.
The Community Innovation Manager will oversee a team of 3–4 staff members, coordinate program activities, foster community partnerships, and ensure successful implementation of the initiative. This position is ideal for an organized, collaborative professional with experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, program coordination, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management
o Manage and support the daily work of the Community Innovation Team.
o Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members.
o Facilitate regular staff meetings, project planning, and problem-solving sessions.
o Promote a collaborative and positive team environment.
Program Management
o Implement and manage the Community Innovation Team work plan.
o Coordinate program activities including nonprofit recruitment, training, needs, assessments, workshops, and evaluations.
o Monitor program goals, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
o Ensure program activities align with the mission and strategic priorities of United Way.
Partnership Development
o Build and maintain relationships with 12–15 nonprofit partners in each county.
o Serve as a primary point of contact for nonprofit partners and community stakeholders.
o Encourage collaboration among nonprofit organizations and identify joint funding opportunities.
o Represent United Way at community meetings and partner events.
Workshops & Capacity Building
o Coordinate and facilitate at least 12 free grant-writing and capacity-building workshops annually across both counties.
o Develop and maintain grant resources, templates, and educational materials for nonprofit partners.
o Provide technical assistance related to grant research, proposal development, and grant management.
Data Collection, Evaluation & Reporting
o Track program outcomes, grant activity, and partnership success.
o Collect impact stories, performance metrics, and funding results.
o Prepare reports for leadership, funders, and community stakeholders.
o Assist with grant reporting requirements and program evaluations.
Grant Compliance & Support
o Assist nonprofit partners in preparing competitive grant applications.
o Monitor grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance activities.
o Support awarded organizations with post-award grant management and reporting.
o Ensure program activities meet funder expectations and grant requirements.
Budget & Program Administration
o Assist the President/CEO with grant reporting and compliance.
o Help identify opportunities to sustain and expand the program through additional funding.
o Support planning for long-term sustainability, including exploration of fee-for-service opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in nonprofit management, grant writing, program coordination, or community engagement.
- Experience managing projects, programs, or staff preferred.
- Knowledge of grant writing, nonprofit funding, and community partnerships.
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse partners.
