Position Description:

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is a results-driven fundraising professional who is passionate about the power of corporate social responsibility to create lasting community change. This role is responsible for maintaining and increasing annual revenue through the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive, multi-year partnership strategies for current, lapsed, and prospective corporate partners.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager maximizes the corporate partner experience through a strategic account management approach focused on engagement, retention, and growth. The role recognizes the diverse nature of corporate partnerships and revenue streams, including but not limited to:
- Workplace Campaigns
- Grants
- Sponsorships
- Cause Marketing and Point-of-Sale
- Community and Volunteer Engagement
As part of the Resource Development team, the Corporate Partnerships Manager identifies and recommends individuals from corporate partners for leadership and affinity engagement to expand participation and drive revenue growth.
Internally, this position works cross-functionally with Community Impact, Volunteer Engagement, Finance, and Marketing & Communications to deliver meaningful engagement opportunities that deepen corporate partner connection to United Way NCA’s mission and advance long-term financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
The Corporate Partnerships Manager works collaboratively to set and execute long-term, cross-functional fundraising strategies aligned with United Way NCA’s strategic plan and ALICE promise. Plans include clear benchmarks for revenue growth, relationship development, year-round engagement, and stewardship.
Portfolio Management
- Directly responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate partners generating approximately $1M in annual revenue designated to United Way NCA.
- Increase annual revenue through workplace campaigns, grants, sponsorships, and other corporate giving strategies.
- Identify and cultivate new corporate partners for multi-year, holistic engagement.
- Develop comprehensive, integrated year-long stewardship and engagement plans for current, lapsed, and prospective corporate partners.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate partner relationship management, engaging stakeholders responsible for CSR, employee giving, marketing, and volunteer engagement.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all partner activity, results, and campaign performance using CRM systems.
Corporate Partner Engagement
- In collaboration with Community Impact and Volunteer Engagement teams, provide strategic counsel and recommendations for employee engagement and volunteerism.
- Identify corporate partners for leadership roles in United Way NCA initiatives and special events, including giving days, in-community service, and pillar-aligned initiatives.
- Organize and attend corporate partner engagement events and meetings.
- Represent United Way NCA at community functions and activities to build relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Finance to leverage employee giving and engagement platforms (e.g., Benevity, YourCause, Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud) for efficient revenue collection and report
- Corporate Partner Acquisition & Cultivation
- Conduct targeted research and prospecting to identify new corporate partners aligned with revenue and impact priorities.
- Engage corporate partners through the full moves management cycle of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Partner internally to identify individuals within corporate accounts for deeper engagement, including leadership and affinity groups.
- Support efforts to diversify revenue streams, including foundation, government, and cross-sector opportunities where applicable.
Communications & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Fundraising and Marketing & Communications teams to inform an annual communications plan that engages corporate partners and advances revenue goals.
- Represent the Resource Development team on cross-functional projects or events as assigned.
- Share insights and best practices to support team learning and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed predetermined revenue goals
- Proven experience engaging corporate partners throughout the moves management cycle
- Strong project management skills with the ability to move initiatives from concept to execution
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Superior organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills, including public speaking
- Experience working in a team-based fundraising or sales environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in CRM systems, database management, and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience utilizing prospecting and research tools to support moves management is preferred
