What are the responsibilities and job description for the Basics Needs Coordinator position at United Way of Pioneer Valley?
The Basic Needs Coordinator is a member of the Programs Team and reports to the Chief Programs Officer. The Coordinator runs the day-to-day operations of UWPV’s Basic Needs Programs and makes sure food security and basic needs services reach clients reliably, fairly, and with dignity. The role plans and runs weekly pantry operations and recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises the volunteers who support Basic Needs Programs. It also manages local agency partnerships connected to Basic Needs work and keeps the programs fully compliant with Food Bank of Western Massachusetts (FBWMA) and USDA requirements.
The Coordinator plans ahead, applies program rules consistently, and measures success by results for clients and agency partners, not by activity. The Coordinator is expected to work independently and reliably and to model professional conduct for staff and volunteers. The Coordinator must also complete and keep current all trainings and certifications the position requires. Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. This is also a physical job lifting and moving packages 25 - 50 lbs. on occasion.
This position is hourly 23.00-26.00 hourly 35 hours per week.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
