The Marketing Data and Insights Analyst will be an integral part of our Marketing team, working closely with both internal marketing members and agency partners to generate valuable insights for our marketing campaigns. This role is crucial in providing the data-driven insights needed to inform marketing strategies and solve business challenges. The Analyst will play a vital role in analyzing data to drive actionable insights, enhancing our digital marketing efforts and overall engagement with UWGA.

As a key member of the Marketing team, the Marketing Data and Insights Analyst will focus on collaborative data sets and data-driven solutions to business challenges. The Analyst will work closely with the Marketing team to track, mine, and transform data from various sources, producing integrated reports, visualizations, and dashboards for stakeholders. This position emphasizes optimizing digital campaigns and channels through advanced technologies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work across teams and deliver high-quality, accurate data analysis.
Dual Reporting Structure
While the Marketing Data and Insights Analyst will primarily report to the Marketing team, there will also be a dotted line to the IT/Data department. This structure ensures that the Analyst has access to the technical resources and expertise necessary to manage and analyze complex data sets effectively. Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and reporting to inform marketing decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate with internal marketing teams, consultants, and agency partners to define data needs and reporting requirements.
- Produce reports based on the needs and strategic priorities of Marketing and other departments.
- Improve and maintain existing reports, dashboards, and data sets.
- Manage website, social media, and other channel metrics using tools like GA4, Dynamics, and Sprout Social. Extract and transform data for performance analysis and visualization in PowerBI.
- Create and maintain custom tags and triggers in Google Tag Manager.
- Provide SEO insights to the website content team and track visitor data to evaluate impact.
- Monitor success metrics, including data capture, engagement, registrations, and donations.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
- Analyze both internal and external data to optimize marketing efforts, donor outreach, and website analytics.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of experience in marketing and data analysis or business intelligence role.
- Passion for analytics and digital technology.
- Experience in similar marketing analytics roles on cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of marketing, social media, and website data.
- Proficient in developing, maintaining, and analyzing structured and unstructured data.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and SQL.
- Basic background in statistical analysis and proficiency in a statistical language (R, Python).
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (PowerBI preferred).
- Experience with CRM systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Strong pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills.
- Excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
