United Way ENM Seeking YA Empowerment Caseworker
Fast paced Non-Profit (EOE) seeks FT Team Member—non-exempt.
Seeking: Caseworker serving young adult homeless program funded by HUD.
Duties: *Assess, track, and support client progress on life skills in the areas of education, employment, financial responsibility, health/mental health, personal development, household management. *Meet with clients weekly (and as needed) across Curry, Roosevelt, Quay, & De Baca counties. Personal car, insurance, and safe driving a must. Mileage reimbursed at IRS rate. *Connect clients with available resources to meet needs. *Maintain records of client support in HMIS system.
Reports to YA Housing Program Manager.
Qualities: Clear communicator. Non-judgmental and trauma informed approach to client interaction. Lived experience as un-housed young person is preferred.
Salary: starting $16-$18 per hour, flex time and overtime eligible, requires occasional evening and weekend hours.
