POSITION SUMMARY
The goal of this position is to become a leader in Community Engagement representing e United Way with a focus on Guadalupe County.
Responsible for developing relationships that lead to donations and understanding the needs of the community. This position will focus primarily on Guadalupe County and provide support in Comal County. Manage existing employee giving campaigns and grow new ones. Develop, manage and grow fundraising events. Participate in issue-based community relationships that lead to opportunities for United Way to award grants. Become familiar with nonprofits in Guadalupe County as they pertain to Health and Human service needs in the area. Provide support in all other aspects that include fundraising events, participate in chamber(s) events, securing sponsorships and silent auction items, and more across both Guadalupe and Comal Counties
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
Preferred Education: Bachelors Degree; Business, Public Relations, or Marketing
Minimum Experience: 3 years experience in Marketing, public relations, project management and/or executive administration; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES

- Cultivate donors and maintain relationships with current donors with a focus on the Guadalupe County areaand provide support in Comal County.
- Become knowledgeable on health and human service needs in the Guadalupe County area attending issuefocused meetings.
- Grow relationships with those who can impact health and human service needs in Guadalupe County area.
- Make a concerted effort to attend public and civic events to help maintain an ongoing UW presence in thecommunities.
- Seek major corporate sponsors and speak at employee giving campaigns.
- Manage existing employee giving campaigns, and at the same time secure new campaigns wit businesses in the Guadalupe County area.
- Coordinate and assist with UW events.
- Meet annual fundraising goals set by the Director.
- Attend Guadalupe County events that will grow our presence (ex. Chamber events, NE Partnership, Manufacturers Assoc, etc)
- Become familiar with partner agencies in both Comal and Guadalupe Counties.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local radio and print press.
- Develop and maintain relationships with board members.
- Update the Executive Director on Progress.
- Assist staff as needed.
- Attend Board Meetings.
- High level of prioritization and organizational skills.
- Manage multiple projects with set deadline/guidelines.
- Demonstrate ability to work within a team-based environment.
- Public speaking as needed.
