Position Summary

United Way Of Central Indiana Recognizes That The Key To Success Is a Strong And Cohesive Team That Works Through Shared Values To Achieve Our Mission. The Corporate Partnership Specialist Will Help Advance The Mission Of United Way Of Central Indiana By

Cultivating, retaining, and expanding financial support and corporate engagement, by building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across an assigned portfolio of accounts. They will collaborate with corporate partners to plan, organize, and execute employee giving campaigns and other United Way initiatives, fostering meaningful engagement and alignment with United Ways goals. They will also proactively identify and pursue opportunities for deeper corporate involvement, engagement, and partnerships to maximize impact through innovative strategies and achieve portfolio revenue goals.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

Fundraising

  • Collaborate with United Way internal teams to develop and execute strategies that sustain and grow fundraising and engagement among corporate partners and their employees within the assigned portfolio. Leverage data to provide strategic, targeted account management plans and excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate and manage annual fundraising campaigns for corporate partners, including the development of timelines, planning engagement activities, campaign execution, and donor outreach efforts.
  • Monitor campaign progress using online giving platforms and Salesforce CRM. Actively address challenges and provide solutions to enhance campaign outcomes.
  • Maintain consistent account contact and deliver exceptional customer service. Creatively explore and introduce additional United Way opportunities, as appropriate (i.e., volunteerism, sponsorships, etc.).
  • Delivers presentations on United Way’s mission, programs, and community impact to a variety of audiences, using relevant examples and data to support donor acquisition, retention, and engagement. Maintains working knowledge of United Way’s initiatives and clearly communicates partnership opportunities and organizational value. Maintains accurate and timely CRM records and uses data to support account management and campaign follow-up.

Internal Relationships

  • Works cross-functionally with internal teams (Major Gifts, Volunteer Engagement, Community Impact, Technology & Business Intelligence, and Brand) to support partnership activities and effectively communicate United Way’s community impact priorities to stakeholders.
  • Works with Finance and the Online Giving team to ensure accurate and timely processing of campaign pledges and payments for the assigned portfolio, including follow-up internally and externally on discrepancies and support during peak campaign periods.

Annual Goals

  • Achieve established goals for annual fundraising and engagement. Work with Associate Director to ensure goals reflect, align, and contribute to broader organizational objectives.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education where appropriate.

  • Associates degree with relevant work experience considered; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of professional experience preferred
  • Experience in fundraising, public administration, sales, marketing, or business administration is highly desirable

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build, maintain, and grow corporate partner relationships across a defined portfolio
  • Ability to coordinate and execute employee giving campaigns, including planning, timeline management, and engagement activities
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to respond to partner needs, resolve challenges, and ensure a positive partner experience
  • Ability to use data and CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) to track performance, manage accounts, and inform fundraising strategies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, stakeholders, and priorities simultaneously
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences and share the organization’s mission and impact
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Fundraising, Finance, Marketing, Community Impact) to align efforts and deliver results
  • Ability to identify and pursue opportunities for increased engagement, including volunteerism, sponsorships, and deeper corporate partnerships

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Salary Range: Upper 50’s to mid-60’s
