United Way of Broome County (UWBC) is a non-profit organization that fights for the health, education and financial stability of Broome County residents. The organization works in partnership with community organizations and members to drive change that will have positive impact on the critical needs of the community.
Position Summary:
The Financial Operations Specialist performs a variety of finance duties requiring a certain level of experience and skills. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, grant reporting; payroll processing; maintaining benefits and leave schedules; reconciling accounts; recording transactions; and preparing monthly journal entries. This position is responsible for ensuring monthly duties are completed in a timely fashion for reports to be completed for the Finance Director, Executive Director and/or Board. In addition, this position, in conjunction with the Finance Director, oversees the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program.
