The Associate Director of Donor Advancement plays a critical role in strengthening and sustaining philanthropic support by ensuring mid-level donors ($1,000–$4,999) experience meaningful, personalized, and well-coordinated engagement throughout their giving journey.
This role is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive, strategic effort to grow the mid-level donor base and increase support through annual and planned giving.
- Identify, cultivate, steward, and grow relationships with high-capacity donors through personalized engagement and multi-year giving strategies
- Develop and manage donor portfolios, including goal setting, revenue forecasting, and lifecycle tracking
- Build and implement strategies to cultivate planned gifts
- Collaborate with the VP of Development and Resource Development team to identify and engage leadership donor prospects
- Engage and support volunteers in donor cultivation and solicitation
- Maintain consistent, meaningful communication with donors to ensure a high-quality experience
- Track and analyze donor activity in CRM systems; prepare reports and projections
- Partner with Marketing to develop donor communications and fundraising materials
- Represent United Way Fox Cities through presentations, events, and community engagement
- Build relationships with community organizations and serve as an organizational ambassador
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of fundraising, sales, or related experience
- Proven success in securing gifts or generating revenue
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
This position is primarily office-based with regular meetings and events in the community. Some evening and weekend hours are required, along with local travel.
