Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end and year -end close processes.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of accounting operations, including general ledger, A/P, A/R and payroll support.
- Supervise, support, and develop accounting department staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses for leadership review.
- Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and ensure timely completion of audit requests and deliverables.
- Support implementation and improvement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, GAAP standards, and all applicable reporting requirements.
