data integration, and reporting workflows.

o Design and implement custom tools, scripts, and processes (e.g., automation,

batch processing, API integrations) to enhance data throughput and consistency.

o Pilot new technologies and platforms such as AI-assisted classification, advanced

analytics, and real-time data delivery to clients.

o Lead or actively contribute to research and development initiatives for new

geospatial service offerings and products.

o Stay current with emerging geospatial, UAS, and data analytics technologies, and

integrate relevant advancements into operational practices.

Data Management and Quality Control:

o Oversee the ingestion, organization, and processing of LiDAR, GPR, thermal

imagery, and other field data collected by internal teams and partners.

o Establish and enforce quality control standards and checklists to ensure data

accuracy, completeness, and consistency across projects.

o Manage GIS datasets, including schema design, attribution standards, and

integration into internal and client-facing platforms.

o Coordinate with field teams to resolve data quality issues, identify root causes,

and update procedures to prevent recurrence.

o Ensure data security, integrity, and appropriate backup/archiving practices for all

geospatial datasets.

Platform and Workflow Integration:

o Configure and manage geospatial platforms and tools (e.g., LiDAR processing

software, GIS systems, cloud-hosted data portals) used by the department.

o Work with internal IT, software vendors, and cloud providers to optimize system

performance and storage strategies.

o Develop and maintain documented workflows for data processing, asset

extraction, classification, and delivery.

o Implement and manage API-based integrations and data exchanges between

internal systems and client systems where required.

o Collaborate with project managers and business development to understand

client needs and translate them into geospatial solutions.

o Present and explain technical approaches, data products, and innovation

roadmaps to clients in a clear, consultative manner.

o Support proposal writing and scope development by defining geospatial

methods, assumptions, and deliverable standards.

o Participate in client review meetings to address technical questions and gather

feedback for ongoing improvement.

Cross-Functional Support and Collaboration:

o Work closely with the Field Operations Supervisor to ensure that field

methodologies align with downstream data requirements.

o Provide guidance to field teams on data capture standards, naming conventions,

and metadata collection.

o Maintain a base-level understanding of field operations, equipment, and safety

considerations to provide limited operational support when needed (e.g.,

advising on data collection parameters, reviewing field routes for data

sufficiency).

o Share insights from geospatial analysis that can improve field planning, safety,

and operational efficiency.

Administrative and Strategic Support:

o Assist the Superintendent of Field Services with strategic planning related to

technology adoption, staffing needs, and service expansion.

o Support documentation efforts, including SOPs, best practices, and technical

standards for geospatial work.

o Contribute to budget planning and tracking for software licenses, cloud
