Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traffic Control Supervisor to join our team. As a Traffic Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing traffic flow and ensuring the safety of workers and the public at construction sites. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient traffic flow while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic at construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and the public
- Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, barricades, and signs
- Communicate with construction crews to coordinate traffic control efforts
- Monitor traffic patterns and adjust traffic control measures as needed
- Provide clear instructions to drivers on detours, lane closures, and other changes in traffic patterns
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of traffic control equipment
- Report any incidents or issues to supervisors or appropriate authorities
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Traffic Control Supervisor or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of traffic control regulations and procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively direct traffic and communicate with construction crews
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated.
