Aerial Fiber Optic Installation Technician

Pay: $25–$55/hour based on experience and territory
Weekly Goal: 15,000–22,000 feet of install footage required
Per Diem: TBD

Areas of Operation:
Currently operating in Tennessee (TN), Alabama (AL), and Georgia (GA), with projected expansion into Mississippi (MS), Florida (FL), South Carolina (SC), and North Carolina (NC) throughout the year.

Job Overview:
We are seeking experienced Fiber Optic Overhead Line Construction Technicians to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of aerial construction techniques, fiber optic cable installation, and industry-standard safety practices. A strong work ethic and ability to meet daily and weekly production goals are essential.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform aerial installation of fiber optic cable using proper construction methods (lasher, strand and cable placement).
• String, tension, and secure fiber along poles per engineering prints and system design.
• Read and interpret splice diagrams, blueprints, and construction maps.
• Safely operate bucket trucks, lashers, cable rollers, and other aerial line construction equipment.
• Conduct quality control checks and complete daily production reports.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA, DOT, and industry standards.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience in aerial fiber optic construction.
• Knowledge of fiber optic cable, strand, lashing, and pole hardware.
• Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
• Ability to meet mandatory weekly footage goals (15,000–22,000 feet).
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
