We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant. As a leading financial institution committed to excellence, we are looking for a dynamic professional who can contribute to our success and help drive our financial operations forward. This position offices onsite from our north Dallas headquarters.
What You’ll Do:
- Works cooperatively with the Controller in the daily recording of significant financial transactions.
- Assists the Controller in timely and accurately completing the month-end close process, including assisting with researching variance differences.
- Responsible for month end close for several small consolidating entities.
- Backs up other staff responsibilities, including Accounts Payable.
- Highly proficient with month end balance sheet reconciliations.
- Works cooperatively with the Controller to record transactions for the investment portfolio.
- Fixed Assets, adding new assets with monthly depreciation and yearly disposals.
- Prepaids, adding and reconciling monthly.
- Prepares special reports for monthly Board of Directors meetings.
- Works closely with the Controller to manage the external financial statement audit and all regulatory examinations.
- Assist in the preparation of the Quarterly Call Report, semi-annual Federal Reserve reports, quarterly FDIC, and other regulatory reporting.
- Self-starter that looks to assist in improving processes and work.
- Able to adjust to changing prioritization of tasks during busy times of the year.
- Performs other similar or related duties, as required or as situation dictates.
