Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions to promote safe and effective therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and resolve medication-related issues.
- Oversee pharmacy operations, including inventory management, controlled substance monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians to maintain a high standard of service.
- Engage with customers to build trust and loyalty, addressing their questions and concerns promptly.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new medications, and regulatory changes to provide cutting-edge care.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in Texas with no restrictions.
- 1-3 years of retail or community pharmacy experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical knowledge are welcome.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with diverse patients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage high-volume prescription workflows.
