Construction Foreman / Site Leader – Hurricane, WV
United Talent Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman / Site Leader for a growing construction company based in Hurricane, WV. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled carpenter or contractor looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values leadership, craftsmanship, and professionalism.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for an individual with extensive residential and commercial construction experience who can lead a crew, oversee job sites, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction crews on residential and commercial remodeling projects
- Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure projects stay on schedule
- Perform hands-on carpentry and construction work while leading by example
- Read blueprints and communicate project expectations to crew members
- Assign daily tasks and monitor quality of work
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Coordinate material deliveries and maintain inventory of tools and supplies
- Complete project documentation, including delivery receipts, inventory logs, and daily job reports
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and management
- Troubleshoot job site issues and make sound decisions to keep projects moving
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites
- Perform other construction and leadership duties as assigned
Pay & Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (or until the job is completed)
- Starting at $20.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience and qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential and/or commercial construction experience
- Strong background in carpentry, remodeling, or general contracting
- Previous experience leading a crew, supervising projects, or serving as a foreman
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple team members
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly and perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel to job sites throughout Kanawha and Putnam Counties
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Clean criminal history required
