United Surgical Partners International, the country’s largest ASC platform is currently seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (Clinical Director) at Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood located in Kingwood, TX.

At Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood, the highly skilled and experienced surgeons are specialists dedicated to patient well being.Our facility is accredited by the Joint Commission. This facility has 6 OR’s and 2 Treatment Rooms. Our state-of the art equipment allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of: ENT, General Surgery, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Spine and Urology.

Ideal candidates will have O/R experience. We seek candidates with a track record of strong leadership and teambuilding skills. A current Clinical Director in an ASC would be considered a solid candidate if education requirements met: BSN plus MSN, MBA or MHA.

Job Summary

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) provides executive leadership for all nursing and clinical services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care. This role is responsible for clinical excellence, staffing strategy, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement across the organization. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the CNO partners with physicians, administrators, and the governing board to advance the hospital’s mission, strategic goals, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing and clinical departments
  • Ensure safe, effective, and compliant patient care through evidence-based nursing practice
  • Develop and manage nursing staffing models, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Lead quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Partner with physicians, executive leadership, and the governing board on strategy and operations
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and standards of nursing practice
  • Oversee talent development, performance management, and employee engagement
  • Integrate current research and best practices into nursing care delivery
  • Represent nursing services in medical staff, executive, and board meetings

Required Experience:

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required)
  • Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration (required)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a hospital setting
  • Proven leadership over multiple, complex nursing or clinical departments
  • Surgical background/leadership experience required
  • CNO experience and surgical hospital experience preferred

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
