Patient Transporter at Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center
The Patient Transporterhelps patients by transporting them into, around, and out of the surgery center.
Responsibilities:
- Transports patients by assisting patients to the car via wheelchair; lifting patients on and off stretchers and recliners.
- Comforts patients and their families by offering support and encouragement; being punctual and attentive to procedure schedules; demonstrating caring and cultural sensitivity.
- Transports equipment, supplies, and delivering them to assigned treatment areas and patient care areas.
- Cleans and prepares stretchers, recliners, and wheelchairs for patient use.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital preferred.
- Current BLS required.
