As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. This will entail a variety of tasks including:

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Patient Access Coordinator to join our Imaging team. Schedule is Monday - Friday: 8:30a - 5p.
As the Patient Access Coordinator, you will interface with patients and families, physicians and staff. This will entail a variety of tasks including:
- Admit patients and process their paperwork.
- Enter patient demographics/information in system.
- Collect monies due and document in billing system. Handle funds per office procedure.
- Explain insurance benefits to patients.
- Authorized to access medication storage areas for the purpose of performing patient registration, clerical functions, and other related duties as assigned.
- Floats to different patient access areas as needed or as assigned.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CPR certified within 90 days from DOH.
- One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred.
- Must have the skills necessary to operate the office equipment required to fulfill job duties.
- Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial
- Good communication skills and interpersonal relation skills.
- Must use independent judgment and adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
- Requires good time management skills.
