Job Description: We are currently seeking a FT PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. As a PACU RN, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of patients through the perioperative process, from preoperative assessment to post-anesthesia care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and conditions throughout the perioperative period.
- Provide post-anesthesia care in the PACU, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Assess and manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms.
- Ensure patient and family education regarding post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).

Required Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of Louisiana.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of three years of nursing experience; perioperative or PACU experience is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
