Key Responsibilities
- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
- Works hand in hand with the Wine Steward
- Maximize product sales by telling guests about products and suggestions for use.
- Actively suggestive sell products through education and recommendations. Build guest loyalty and trust
- Stocking and arranging wine on shelves and setting up displays
- Follow stock rotation guidelines to assure distressed and close dated product is removed from the sales floor at the appropriate time to maximize product freshness and quality for our guests
- Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment; encourage team members to do the same
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area including sales floor and backroom areas that are free from debris and clutter with clean floors, cases, shelves, glass, clean and organized coolers and/or storage areas
- Follow daily duties and ensures cleanliness and organization
- Greet and speak politely with every guest on premises
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Demonstrated product knowledge of wines, spirits, and beer
- Knowledge in food and wine pairing
- Flexible availability
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of stocking, including but not limited to bending, lifting, squatting, climbing and walking
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
