Summary
The PRN Pharmacist is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. - When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
- Maintain integrity of pharmacy operations within the legal framework provided by the State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, Department of Public Safety and other governmental agencies in conjunction with the policy and procedure guidelines set forth by Albertsons Companies
- Ensure completion and compliance of goals, tasks, standards, and other job related criteria assigned to the pharmacy
- Maintain open communication with pharmacy staff to ensure continued growth, development, education and compliance with evolving pharmacy operations
- Assist and support pharmacy manager in overseeing every aspect of the pharmacy operation including but not limited to dispensing, counseling, supervision of technicians, pharmacy team member management, participation in clinical programs including immunization administration, inventory management and control
- Monitor patients’ drug therapies for effectiveness and safety, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed about new drugs and developments in pharmacy practice through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Operate personal vehicle in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate transportation log
- Maintain active and current vehicle personal liability insurance coverage for entire duration of role
- Travel to assigned locations within designated region/area to perform job duties
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including safety protocols and regulatory requirements while traveling
- Average less than 30 hours per work week
- Other duties as assigned by upper management
- BS in Pharmacy and/or PharmD Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active and in good standing pharmacist license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you are practicing
- Preceptor by the State Board of Pharmacy
- Excellent problem solving and management skills
- Basic accounting and computer skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Retail pharmacy experiences is a plus
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing and walking for 8-12 hour period
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekend and some holidays as required
- Reliable personal vehicle and ability to travel extensively within designated region/area
- Immunization certification from accredited organization within first 90 days
- Active CPR certification within first 90 days
