- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
- Differentiate in products and service by producing quality products
- Follow daily work schedule as assigned by management
- Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions to our guests
- Responsible for maintaining positive atmosphere, spirit and morale within the department
- Support and execute against division concepts and programs
- Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly
- Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment
- Responsible for safeguarding, controlling and monitoring all floral department assets, ensuring policy and procedures are implemented for control of assets
- Accurately write and follow detailed instructions on special orders to ensure product meets or exceeds the guest’s expectations
- Ensure special orders are ready 30 minutes prior to pick-up or delivery time
- Ensure wedding flowers are ready two hours prior to pickup or delivery time
- Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by management
- Minimum of six months experience in retail floral designing and volume production
- Working knowledge of plants and flowers
- Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of position, including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, climbing, squatting and walking
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work within a cooler for up to 15 minutes
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
- Attend meetings and training sessions when called upon
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
