Position Summary:
United Structure Solutions is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning and execution of various projects. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll work closely with Project Managers and cross functional teams, gaining exposure to project management processes and leading project teams. This role offers significant growth potential through mentorship and hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Project Managers in executing project management activities, including budget and schedule management.
· Collaborate with the GC’s project management team, which includes architects, engineers, and consultants, to ensure project requirements are met.
· Maintain and organize project documents, including contracts, drawings, submittals, change orders, and material tracking
· Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders and clients to ensure clear and consistent communication.
· Track and communicate project status to clients and team members, ensuring transparency and proactive issue resolution.
· Prepare and distribute meeting notes and project documentation to keep stakeholders informed.
· Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety standards, and address any issues.
· Provide direction to the fabrication teams, ensuring project integrity and adherence to specifications.
· Develop, update, and forecast project schedules and budgets throughout all phases of the project life cycle.
· Review contracts, invoices, and payments to vendors and contractors to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Facilitate planned reviews and inspections
· Support contract negotiations and participate in dispute resolution when necessary.
· Perform any other duties as assigned to support project success.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Prior experience with Architectural Metalwork a major plus.
· 2-3 years of relevant experience within engineering, architecture, or construction management
· Excellent understanding of design and construction processes.
· Proficient in computer software related to scheduling, word processing, and spreadsheet management.
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
