Key Responsibilities:
- Assist maintenance personnel in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of steel production equipment, including conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, and overhead cranes
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities by performing routine inspections and documenting findings
- Help maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment histories in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis under supervision
- Assist with lubrication programs and housekeeping activities in maintenance areas
- Observe and support mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair activities
- Conduct safety inspections and help ensure compliance with company safety standards and procedures
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime
- Assist in inventory management of maintenance parts, tools, and supplies
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2026 and be in good academic standing
- Be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
