What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Experience Internship position at United States Steel Corporation?
This position is responsible for assisting the Commercial Operations organization on Customer Experience projects related to existing core business, as well as newly developing business needs. The interaction with the customer and multiple functional groups within the corporation provides the intern candidate with a well-rounded basic knowledge of the order-to-cash process from beginning to end. This is a remote commuter position, allowing you to work remotely while also commuting to our Automotive Center in Troy, MI for training, development, and collaboration as needed.

- Assist Customer Experience Managers and their respective Customer Experience Analyst with administrative tasks relevant to order-to-cash process.
- Assist in order entry through OMT system, while ensuring sales order report is reviewed and validated against the customer purchase orders.
- Support review of inventory and material flow to meet customer supply requirements.
- Communicate with customers, producing facilities, and technical personnel on various issues including order entry, production, inventory management etc.
- Assist in the follow-up of production of orders to ensure on-time delivery to the customer.
- Maintain customer forecasted releases through demand planner forecast system.
- Provide work instructions and priorities to processing partners for timely finishing of material for delivery.
- Assist in releasing material and ensure delivery based on requirements from the customer.
- Rising junior or senior year working toward a business degree with major in supply chain management, business management, engineering.
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Previous work experience in any field; experience in an office environment preferred.
- Proficient in Outlook and MS Office (specifically Excel and PowerPoint), TEAMS and/or Webex.
- Ability to adapt to and master web-based support applications.
- Must have strong analytical and data manipulation skills, be a problem solver with a high attention to detail and the ability to project plan and prioritize workload.
- Familiar with internet research, utilizing common search engines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort in presenting to various levels of management in the organization.
