Press Secretary– Senator Chris Murphy seeks an experienced, digitally-savvy Press Secretary to serve as a key member of the communications team. Candidates should have a strong command of digital media platforms, with an emphasis on content creation and production skills. The position will work closely with the Communications Director and Deputy Communications Director to help develop the Senator’s message, execute the office’s press strategies, and further engage in independent media. The position will work as part of a forward-looking, aggressive, and digital-forward press operation that values strong writing and communications skills, good judgment, a sense of humor, and the ability to produce quality work under pressure. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates should have a minimum of 4-5 years of full-time experience with a proven track record of successfully leading work and building relationships with reporters, bookers, producers, and members of the traditional media.
