What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Secretary position at United States Senate?
Northeast Democratic senator who holds Committee leadership positions seeks a Press Secretary to join our office’s communications team. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of work experience in communications, including prior Hill or campaign experience, and prior experience working directly with a principal. Excellent writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment, are required. Primary responsibilities include writing and editing written materials from the office including press releases and other materials; managing day-to-day proactive press and responding to press inquiries; and prepping and staffing the Senator. The job is based in Washington, DC. New England ties are a plus.
