What are the responsibilities and job description for the LEGISLATIVE POLICY ANALYST position at United States Senate?
The Senate Foreign Relations Committee Majority (Democratic) Staff is seeking a Legislative Policy Analyst (LPA) to join our Legal Team. The individual in this position will work closely with the counsels for the Majority staff as well as all of the policy teams. Duties include meeting with executive branch agencies and stakeholders, legislative drafting, staffing hearings, reviewing nominee files, drafting materials for the Legal Team, the Staff Director, the Senator, and the public on legislation and foreign policy developments, and operations. Candidates must have strong oral and written communication skills, excellent organization and attention to detail, as well as demonstrated policy-relevant research and analytical skills. Qualified applicants should have a BA or equivalent degree and one year of work experience.
