Job Summary
The United States Postal Service is seeking dedicated and reliable Mail Delivery, Rural Carrier Associates to provide efficient mail and package delivery services in designated rural areas. Duties
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and business addresses along assigned routes
- Load and unload mail and parcels from delivery vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans
- Safely operate vehicles with manual transmission, including box trucks and other commercial vehicles
- Use route driving skills to navigate efficiently while adhering to safety regulations
- Perform heavy lifting and moving of packages, some weighing up to 70 pounds
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary for larger shipments
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures when required
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing recipient inquiries professionally
- Follow all postal regulations and safety procedures during deliveries

Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services preferred
- Warehouse experience beneficial for handling bulk shipments and loading/unloading tasks
- Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license, including
driver credentials preferred - Familiarity with route driving, heavy lifting, and moving large or heavy items
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus but not mandatory
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and punctuality
