Reporting to the Vice President, People Operations, the People Business Partner is responsible for solving organizational challenges through people-related solutions. Acting as the bridge between theUSOPCPeople & Cultureteam(P&C)andvariousbusiness leadersand teams, this role works in partnership to design and execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain, and organize work, all in service of meeting organizational priorities and business goals. This role is responsible for project management and execution of all employee-facing P&Cprograms and acts as a coach and advisor to leadersand employeesacross the organization to bolster their leadership effectiveness, team effectiveness, and overall individual and team performance. Colorado Springs Downtown Headquarters / Hybrid
Regular travel required to other USOPC locations (ex. Colorado Springs, CO Training Center, Lake Placid, NY, Training Center, etc.) based on assigned departments. Travel in the first 6-12 months is expected to be more frequent and a regular cadence will be established based on department needs.

Business Partnership (40%)
- Build relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.Build relationships with teams and individual employees at every level of the organization to ensure all employees feel seen, heard,and supported in thework that they do.
- Develop a deep understanding of the assignedbusiness functions to help inform the creation and implementation of people initiatives, programs,and strategies that effectively address business needs.
- Applydeep knowledge inP&Cprograms, services, andpoliciesto communicate initiatives and serve as a liaison between assigned business group andP&Cfunctional areas. Use discretion to determinewhen to engage and collaborate with broaderP&Cto meet business needs.
- Assist leaders and employees in understanding and applying people tools, policies,and procedures to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance.
- Proactively maintain an open line of communication with leaders and employees onP&C-related issues, identifying and addressing employee concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide conflict resolution and guidance concerning performance management and employee relations issues and make recommendations on the appropriate course of action in partnership with the key stakeholders (business, P&C team,Legal, etc.)and work as the conduit to the USOPC’s third-party firm to maintain consistent processes.
- Partner withleaders to ensure completion ofemployee changes inpeoplesystems, including hiring, promotions, employee moves, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminations. Perform unemployment verifications.
- Act as primary point of contact and project manager for business on all People programs and processes, including Talent & Career Planning, Performance Development, Total Rewards, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives, Learning, and other projects that impact the overall employee experience.
- Act as conduit between business andP&Cto develop execution plansfor rollout and completion of annual processes such as performance reviews, calibration,culturepulse survey, compensation and benefits, and headcount planning. Ensurebusiness leaders and employees fully understand theirprocessresponsibilities, meet deadlines,and provide appropriate input.
- Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, communication, change agility, etc. to maximize their impact on employees.
- Coach leaders onteameffectiveness, culture, team dynamics,communication, partnership,collaboration, etc. to maximize their impact on their teams and business.
- Coach and advise leaders on employee development and performance management, including partnership on performance improvement plans.
- Serve as an advocate and coach for employeeswith concernsthatmayimpact theirindividualjob performance, team culture,and/ororganizational culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree inBusinessAdministration, Human Resources,or related fieldand/or equivalent work experience
- PHR or SPHRa plus
- Additionalrelevantprofessional certifications such asSHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SHRM Talent Acquisition, STA, PRC,CDR,SWP, ATM,SHRBP, etc.a plus
- 5 years of experience in aHR generalist and/orbusiness partner role
- Professional HR experience including knowledge of EEOC law, employee benefits, and HR programs/procedures
- Experience in non-profit and/or sport industry preferred
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to influence and drive work through others without direct oversight
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and teach others how tomaximize potentialwithintheir roles andthe organization

Here's Some More Information You Need To Know
- Hiring pay range $90,000 - $95,000 per year.
- This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 15% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
