Here's a summary of responsibilities:
The Supervisor, Operations Athlete Center reports to and assists the Manager of Operations in the supervisor and work direction of the Colorado Springs Olympic and Paralympic Training Center (CSOPTC) Operations Team. The Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the Operations Specialists team. Additional requirements include supporting the Operations team and assisting in maintaining data integrity and housing management platform.
Here’s how you’ll have an impact:
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of the Operations Specialists (Front Desk). Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and structured onboarding programs for new and existing Operations Specialists, ensuring employees are proficient in daily operations, customer service standards, facility policies, safety procedures, emergency response protocols, communication practices, technology and operational systems, and other organizational requirements.
- Schedule, supervise, and provide overall direction and leadership to Operations Specialists, with a strong emphasis on front desk performance, operational excellence, training, and professional development. Oversee staff selection and onboarding, timekeeping, schedule coordination and alignment with approved budgets, training assignments, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and formal performance evaluations. Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, address performance concerns, and support employee growth and development to ensure a knowledgeable, professional, and high-performing front desk team.
- Act as the lead coordinator for NGB training specials and community programs. Direct all aspects including training and competition schedules, program rosters, athlete program supervision, transportation, and special program requests (meeting rooms, special meal requests, vehicle requests, performances services, etc.) with NGB program coordinator. Develop and maintain communication with NGB program coordinators/coaches to ensure all program requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Manage all components of requirements for OPTC paperwork, SafeSport training, and Background Checks, as needed, for all training special programs and community programs.
- Prepare program approvals for all programs including funding, space allocation, dates and compliance
- Prepare all end reports on training specials and community programs at their conclusion. Manage invoicing process with USOPC Finance team. Develop billing statement for CSOPTC that reflect accurate charges, to include TraveMed charges, room damages, and/or other additional program charges at the conclusion of program and prepare final invoice for each program, as needed, based on funding status determined by Sport Performance
- Assist CSOPTC Operations Manager in creating and maintaining standard operating procedure documentation for housing management platform, API’s and OPTC’s resource manual.
- Fill in as Operations Specialist as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sports Management or Athletic Administration, or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of professional experience in sports organization or in housing, program management, or closely related field
- Knowledge of property management systems preferred
- Experience working with external customers
- Experience supervising staff
- Prior budget management experience preferred
- Advanced word processing and data entry/database management experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work projects when dealing with several different programs at one time, multi-tasking various tasks
- Strong interpersonal relations skills, sound judgement, professional demeanor, and patience, with an emphasis in customer service and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead a team of individuals with diverse personalities and backgrounds to achieve a shared goal in excellence
- Knowledge and passion of the Olympic & Paralympic Movement to include the mission of the USOPC

Here's some more information you need to know:
- Hiring pay range $58,000 - $62,000 per year.
- This Full-Time, Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
- Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 10% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
