Two Paths to Commissioning


For Current College Students

Platoon Leaders Class (PLC)

A two-part, 6-week summer training program designed to develop leadership skills while you complete your degree.

  • Train during the summer with no obligations during the academic year
  • Gain real-world leadership experience in a demanding environment
  • Compete for a commission while staying focused on your education
  • Eligible for Marine Corps Tuition Assistance (up to $13,800 per school year)



For College Graduates

Officer Candidates Course (OCC)

A 10-week intensive training program that prepares graduates to lead Marines.

  • Multiple class dates offered throughout the year
  • Develop decision-making, resilience, and leadership under pressure
  • Transition directly into a career as a Marine Corps Officer upon completion
