THE CALL TO LEAD: OWN THE AIR, TAKE THE GROUND

There is no better integration of air, ground, and logistics support assets into one unit than the Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). In the Marine Corps, aviation missions are won by seizing and controlling the ground—and as a Marine Officer, this mission is under your command.

Marine Aviation is unique in its ability to operate globally from amphibious platforms, forward operating bases, forward expeditionary land bases, or any combination thereof. We are seeking elite, determined college students and graduates who possess the character, physical stamina, and mental sharpness to lead Marines and pilot the world's most advanced combat aircraft.

CORE AVIATION CAREER PATHS (MOS TYPES)

As a Marine Aviation Officer, you can pursue diverse technical and leadership trajectories within the Aviation Combat Element (ACE):

· 75XX: Pilot (Naval Aviator): Operate rotary-wing, tilt-rotor, or fixed-wing aircraft to deliver combat power and support to the MAGTF commander. Specialized platforms include:

· Jets: F-35 Lightning II (5th Generation Multi-role Fighter), F/A-18 Hornet

· Helicopters: AH-1Z Viper, UH-1Y Venom, CH-53E/K Super Stallion/King Stallion

· Tilt-Rotor: MV-22 Osprey

· Multiengine: KC-130 Hercules

THE SIX ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF MARINE AVIATION

Every mission you fly or support serves to deliver battlespace dominance through these six core capabilities:

1. Air Support: Delivering close air support to Marines fighting on the ground.

2. Assault Support: Providing tactical mobility, rapid insertion of ground units, and logistics.

3. Antiair Warfare: Gaining and maintaining air superiority over the battlefield.

4. Electronic Warfare: Exploiting, disrupting, and dominating the electromagnetic spectrum.

5. Aircraft and Missile Control: Directing, coordinating, and controlling air defense and tactical flights.

6. Aerial Reconnaissance: Collecting visual, electronic, and multisensor intelligence.
