Position Overview
United States Investigations & Protective Services, LLC is seeking highly motivated and professional Armed Security Officers to serve as frontline public safety and asset protection personnel for residential communities, commercial properties, executive protection assignments, special events, and patrol operations throughout South Carolina.
Officers serve as the visible deterrent to criminal activity and are entrusted with protecting life, property, and the interests of our clients through proactive patrol, rapid response, and professional enforcement of client policies and applicable laws.
Essential Functions
- Conduct high-visibility foot and vehicle patrol operations of assigned areas of responsibility.
- Detect, deter, and document criminal activity, suspicious persons, and security threats.
- Respond to disturbances, alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, and other incidents requiring immediate action.
- Conduct preliminary investigations and gather information relating to incidents occurring on client property.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and professional incident reports, witness statements, and daily activity logs.
- Maintain order and enforce client policies, property regulations, and trespass laws.
- Perform access control duties and verify the identity and authorization of persons entering restricted areas.
- Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards or vulnerabilities affecting client operations.
- Provide emergency response services until relieved by law enforcement, fire, or emergency medical personnel.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with local, state, and federal public safety agencies when necessary.
- Conduct escorts for employees, residents, executives, financial institutions, and other protected persons when assigned.
- Provide security coverage for executive protection details, special events, and critical infrastructure sites.
- Operate marked and unmarked patrol vehicles in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain proficiency with issued firearms, defensive equipment, and communications equipment.
- Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills to peacefully resolve incidents whenever possible.
- Maintain readiness to respond to active threats and other critical incidents in accordance with company training and policy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a valid South Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain South Carolina Armed Security Officer registration.
- Ability to legally possess and carry a firearm.
- Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and drug screening.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operational needs dictate.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and command presence while in uniform.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred.
- Experience in patrol operations, executive protection, investigations, or access control operations preferred.
- Experience operating radios, report management systems, and security technology platforms preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Ability to enter and exit patrol vehicles repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to physically respond to emergencies and critical incidents when necessary.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
