Job Summary: As an Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst with the United States Air Force, you will play a critical role in translating intelligence communications during flight to provide actionable insights and threat warnings.
Responsibilities: You will utilize your fluent foreign language skills to analyze messages obtained during flight, providing threat warnings and actionable intelligence that can assist in mission planning. These highly skilled specialists are critical to keeping our missions successful and our Airmen safe.
Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must meet strict educational and health requirements, including language proficiency and military training. Specifically, you will need:
- Language Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in a designated language, or successful graduation of the Defense Language Institute in a designated language
- Military Training: Completion of Initial Qualification Training with a valid aviation qualification
- Basic Military Training: 5 weeks of Basic Military Training
Education and Eligibility: High School Students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year. Applicants who are non-graduates or non-alternate credential holders must obtain an AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB.
