1. General job duties. Types of procedures required. Care for peds patient between the age of 3 days to 18 years of age.
This would include common childhood illness, including COVID patients. The nurse will need to have a high knowledge base for pediatric patient at all levels of care. (PICU and Peds) PICU - respiratory, traumas, donations, seizures, and poisoning, anything highly specialized or cardiac sent out, no burns. Peds - trauma, respiratory, RSV, general surgical, birth defects, send out more complex surgicals.
2. Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
EPIC, Pyxis
3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years Peds AND PICU minimum experience required, IV skills a plus. EPIC experience is required. Experience in 400 bed facility with similar acquity (L2 trauma) required.
4. Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
BLS thru AHA required, PALS required, compact or IN RN license
