United Staff Group is urgently hiring a CPI-certified Intervention Specialist for a full-time contract in a K-8 building in Columbus, OH. We seek a dedicated professional to manage a cross-categorical caseload and provide data-driven instruction.
Key Responsibilities
IEP & Instruction: Design, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with mild-to-moderate, cross-categorical disabilities.
Targeted Support: Deliver small-group instruction and provide necessary inclusion support within the general education classroom.
Assessment & Data: Conduct progress monitoring and use data to inform decisions and communicate with families.
Collaboration: Partner with general education teachers (co-teaching) and specialists.
Intervention: Utilize RTI, PBIS, and effective Behavioral Interventions (using CPI training).
Required Qualifications
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (K-12).
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Certified.
Proficiency in Differentiated Instruction, IEP Development, and State/Federal Compliance (IDEA, Section 504).
