Network Architect (CCIE Required)
Duration: 6–12 months Contract to Hire
Location: Los Angeles, CA
- Local candidates preferred
- Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate to LA from Day 1
Must-Have Expertise (Primary Focus Areas)
- Active CCIE certification (completed & verifiable)
- CCIE Service Provider highly preferred
- Strong Telco / Carrier network experience
- MPLS: L2VPN, L3VPN, MPLS Lite, tagging
- DWDM
- IP WAN & Routing: BGP, iBGP, eBGP, AS networks
- Cloud networking experience (AWS or Azure) – strong plus
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end Cisco SD-Access architecture for large, multi-site enterprises
- Drive Catalyst Center (DNA Center) automation, SDA workflows, assurance, and SWIM
- Design identity-centric security using Cisco ISE (802.1X, TrustSec/SGTs, BYOD, Guest)
- Architect and secure campus & edge using Cisco FTD / Firepower
- Design and scale Cisco SD-WAN underlay & overlay architectures
- Own expert-level routing at scale (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, ECMP, IPv6)
- Lead brownfield-to-SDA migrations, modernization, and resiliency patterns
- Provide hands-on leadership: labs, pilots, rollouts, cutovers, RCA for P1/P2 incidents
- Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with security, cloud, and application teams
- Produce HLD/LLD, as-builts, standards, and governance documentation
Required Qualifications
- Active CCIE (Enterprise Infrastructure / Security preferred)
- 10 years of enterprise networking experience
- 3–5 years leading SD-Access design and deployment
- Deep hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Routing & Switching
- Catalyst Center (DNA Center)
- Cisco ISE
- Cisco FTD / Firepower
- Cisco SD-WAN
Preferred Skills
- CCDE or dual CCIE
- Cisco Certified Specialist (SDA, ISE, SD-WAN)
- Automation: Ansible, Python, Terraform, APIs
- Wireless (Catalyst 9800), QoS, multicast, Zero Trust
- Cloud & hybrid networking (AWS/Azure)
- Exposure to ACI / data center interconnects
