Bilingual Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst
Locations (100% Onsite):
- Harbourside, NJ – 2 openings
- Tempe, AZ – 2 openings
Local candidates preferred.
Tier 1 GSOC Analysts to support both Tier 1 and Tier 2 cybersecurity operations during U.S. daytime and evening hours. The primary focus is to support the evening cybersecurity needs of client’s Japanese business units from the U.S. region.
Due to the global alignment with Japan’s operations, bilingual proficiency in both English and Japanese (verbal and written) along with strong cultural fluency is strictly required.
Key Responsibilities (Tier 1 GSOC Coverage)
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
- Monitor incoming security alerts across SIEM and cybersecurity toolsets.
- Triage, analyze, and escalate alerts following established SOPs.
- Execute security playbooks and runbooks for various incident types.
- Document incident events, analysis, escalation steps, and outcomes.
Global Collaboration
- Work closely with MUFG’s global GSOC teams across U.S., Japan, EMEA, and APAC.
- Ensure adherence to the MUFG GSOC operating model and workflow processes.
- Support follow-the-sun operations for Japanese business units.
Compliance & Security Frameworks
- Preferred experience with:
- NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- MITRE ATT&CK
- GSOC workflows and escalation models
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments is highly desirable.
Operational Excellence
- Support Business Operations Transfer (BOT) models for global continuity.
- Maintain clear communication with regional cybersecurity teams.
- Provide accurate updates, logs, and documentation throughout incident handling.
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory: Bilingual (Japanese English) – written and spoken
- Experience working in a SOC/GSOC or cybersecurity monitoring environment
- Strong understanding of incident response workflows (Tier 1/Tier 2)
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, alert triage, and incident escalation
- Understanding of NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, or similar security frameworks
- Ability to work 100% onsite at either Harbourside, NJ or Tempe, AZ
- Excellent communication and cultural alignment to collaborate with Japanese teams

- Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
