Job Description
Seeking Per Diem Adjunct Counselors
Join the dedicated team of professionals in our transitional living house/treatment facility and Clubhouse located in Willimantic, CT.
YAS is a therapeutic program that provides intensive, wrap around services, including clinical, medication management, nursing, case management, vocational, recreational, transitional living and housing services to young adults, ages 18-25, who have a diagnosed mental illness and are in need of community-based support services in the Willimantic area.
If you have knowledge and experience with trauma informed care, mental health, substance use, community support services, and an understanding of the developmental issues of this population, join the dedicated team of professionals at YAS! Adjunct responsibilities may include:
- Medication monitoring
- Client transportation
- Assist clients in addressing basic needs, including medical and psychiatric needs
- Prepare and facilitate educational and skill-building groups and one-to-one interventions as directed by the treatment plan
- Assist in the preparation of meals
- Counseling
- Coordinate care with providers and families as needed
- Documentation
- House cleaning
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required plus two years of experience working in the human services field preferred.
Rate of pay: $21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule:
Openings available for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift), including weekends and holidays.
Work Location: In person
Important Employment Requirement:
