THIS WORK WILL TAKE PLACE IN NEWPORT NEWS VA.
Experience:
Minimum of five years commercial/naval experience
Long Term Project / 2 Years
MUST be a US Citizen
MUST be able to pass hair follicle drug screen
Must be able to pass a background
WELD TESTING INFORMATION (Read Carefully)
- Stainless Steel .038 thin wall sockets in the 4F and 5F positions.
- Copper Nickle .038 thin wall sockets in the 4F and 5F positions.
- Carbon Steel .038 thin wall sockets in the 4F and 5F positions.
- 6G Carbon Steel 3/8” thick wall pipe with Backing ring.
- 6G Stainless Steel 3/8” thick wall pipe with Backing ring.
- 6G Copper Nickle 3/8” thick wall pipe with Backing ring.
NOTE - You are given two tries in a 16 hour (2 shift) time frame to produce one good socket. If neither try pass a visual inspection then the employee is washed out (released).
NOTE - ALL WELDING IS GTAW
NOTE - The tests will be placed in a restricted area within 6” of the booth wall.
NOTE - All Socket Welds are Visual & All Pipe Welds are X-RAY
NOTE - If an employee has two failures in any one process (sockets are one process and thick wall is one process)
