[ Unarmed Detention officer Job Responsibilities]

• The secure custody of Federal inmates in a medical facility.

1. Furnishing the necessary personnel to provide for the protection and safekeeping of those inmates.
2. Secure custody always requires physical control of the inmate. The physical control of the inmates by the contractor shall be sufficient to prevent escape. 
3. Maintain constant control over, and direct visual observation of the inmate.

[Work Hours and Benefits]

This position is considered a per-diem position and hours will vary week to week.

[Unarmed Detention Officer Qualifications and Skills]

• Must be able to stand for up to 6 hours

1. Strong verbal and written communication skills
2. Can always stay alert

[Education and Experience Requirements]

• A minimum of 3 years Law Enforcement, Military Police, or Correctional Police Officer experience with a Federal, State, County or Local agency. 

1. Must be 21 years of Age. 
2. High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalency (DD214 with honorable discharge will be acceptable)
