Retail Security SupervisorSchedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday, Saturday, 1:00pm-9:00pm (40 hours per week)Pay: $50,000/Annual SalarySummaryThe Site Supervisor is the on-site leader responsible for daily security operations at a high-traffic retail property in Washington, D.C. The role ensures a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and staff; delivers on client expectations; and maintains full compliance with D.C. regulations and company policies. The Site Supervisor leads, trains, schedules, and coaches the officer team, partners with property management and local stakeholders, and drives high-quality service delivery, incident response, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsLead daily shift briefings; assign posts and patrols per Post Orders and client priorities.Maintain full site coverage and readiness (scheduling, call-outs, relief coordination, overtime controls).Execute and update Post Orders, SOPs, and emergency response procedures; recommend improvements.Conduct regular patrols (interior/exterior/garages), monitor cameras, alarms, and access control.Ensure professional, visible presence on the sales floor, common areas, and high-traffic zones.Coordinate with property management, retailers, maintenance, and contracted services.Safety, Security & Incident ManagementRespond to incidents (medical, disturbances, theft, escalations, hazards), triage, and stabilize until resolved or handed off to EMS/MPD as appropriate.Preserve scenes/evidence and complete thorough incident reports and after-action reviews.Deter undesired activity (shoplifting, disorderly conduct, unauthorized access) through high-engagement patrols and de-escalation; follow applicable detainment/merchant privilege and company policy.Enforce site rules (loitering, trespass after notice) in coordination with property management and law enforcement when necessary.Monitor and report safety hazards; ensure prompt mitigation or escalation.Client Service & Stakeholder RelationsServe as primary on-site point of contact for the client/property team; attend standing meetings; deliver status updates.Support retailer relations (e.g., sharing BOLOs, coordinating store walk-throughs, training refreshers).Handle tenant/guest complaints promptly and professionally; close the loop with documented follow-up.Compliance & Quality AssuranceEnsure all officers hold required D.C. Security Officer licenses and maintain compliance with training/certification/renewals.Uphold company policies (appearance, attendance, use-of-force continuum, report writing, confidentiality).Conduct inspections/audits (uniforms, equipment readiness, post logs, camera checks, key control).Maintain accurate logs, daily activity reports (DARs), and timekeeping; validate payroll accuracy.Support internal/external audits and corrective action plans.People Management & TrainingRecruit, onboard, and coach officers; conduct ride-alongs, evaluations, and performance counseling.Deliver or coordinate required trainings (onboarding, site orientation, emergency procedures, customer service, de-escalation, report writing, technology systems).Recognize strong performance and promote a positive, safety-first culture.Technology, Reporting & AdministrationUse workforce management platforms (e.g., TrackTik), incident reporting tools, access control/CCTV, radios/body-worn/dash cams (if applicable).Produce daily, weekly, and monthly summaries (incidents, staffing, training, improvements).Maintain equipment (radios, keys, PPE, flashlights,) and inventory controls.Support parking/garage operations as applicable (enforcement escorts, patrols, vendor coordination).QualificationsRequired:Minimum 2–3 years security experience, with 1 year in a lead/supervisory role (retail/mall or mixed-use preferred).Active or eligible for D.C. Security Officer license (per D.C.
