Pharmacy Technician/IV Technician

We are currently seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician – Sterile Compounding / IV to join our team.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Position Summary

As a Pharmacy Technician – Sterile Compounding, you will work within our clean room environment preparing specialized sterile and IV medications for patients in long-term care facilities. This position plays an important role in ensuring medications are prepared accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.

The IV Pharmacy Technician will work closely with our pharmacists and pharmacy team to support sterile compounding operations, maintain appropriate documentation, and ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy and clean room standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound sterile products and IV medications under pharmacist supervision
• Maintain the pharmacy clean room suite in accordance with USP <797> requirements and pharmacy policies
• Complete required documentation related to IV admixture preparation, cleaning, testing, and clean room operations
• Assist with order entry and prescription refills under the supervision of a pharmacist
• Accurately prepare labels, log sheets, reports, and other required documentation
• Assist with inventory management, medication storage, ordering, and rotation of supplies
• Maintain appropriate organization and cleanliness of sterile compounding areas
• Follow established procedures related to aseptic technique, medication safety, and quality assurance
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, pharmacy staff, nursing facility personnel.
• Utilize pharmacy software and other computer systems accurately and efficiently
• Perform additional pharmacy duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration/license as required by the State of Missouri
• Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
• Sterile compounding or IV pharmacy experience preferred
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and USP <797> standards preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a pharmacy team
• Strong organizational and computer skills

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
