Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as concrete pouring, concrete finishing, and rebar installation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to safety protocols
- Support carpentry activities including framing, trim carpentry, formwork construction, and metal stud framing
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans
- Conduct demolition, restoration, renovation, or masonry work as needed on various projects
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with construction estimating processes
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of blueprint specifications
- Skilled in concrete forming, concrete cutting, concrete pumping, and finishing techniques
- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and proper use of hand tools and power tools
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including roofing, stucco, caulking, flooring installation, and masonry
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocol guidelines
